HomeGrind LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Gildy iOS application and website at gildy.homegrind.app (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Authentication Data

When you create an account or sign in (for example, via Sign in with Apple), we receive information such as your name and email address (and any other details you choose to share through that sign-in method). We use this to create and manage your account and identify you in parties/leagues.

1.2 Party / League Information & Gameplay Data

Gildy is a social prediction/ballot app. We collect and store information you provide or generate in the App, such as:

• Party or league creation details (e.g., party name, invite code, settings)
• Parties/leagues you create or join
• Your ballot selections/predictions, picks, and submissions
• Scores, leaderboard positions, and results
• Optional profile details you add (e.g., display name, avatar)

1.3 Invitations & Social Features

If you invite others to join a party, we may process invitation metadata (such as who created an invite link/code and when it was used) to power the invite feature. If you share an invite using your device’s share sheet, that sharing is handled by your operating system.

1.4 Push Notification Tokens

If you enable push notifications, we store your device’s push token to deliver notifications such as party updates, reminders (if enabled), and important service notices.

1.5 Analytics & Diagnostics

We collect usage and diagnostics data (such as performance metrics and crash reports) to improve reliability and features. This may include device and app interaction information.

1.6 Location Data

Gildy does not require location for core functionality. If we introduce optional location-based features in the future, we will request permission where required and explain how that information is used.

1.7 Cookies & Similar Technologies (Site Only)

Our Site may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for basic functionality (such as security or session-related features). We do not sell personal information and do not use cookies for targeted advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
• Authenticate users and manage accounts
• Create and run parties/leagues and compute scoring/results
• Display leaderboards, party participation, and ballot status
• Send notifications you’ve enabled
• Monitor usage trends and diagnose crashes
• Improve and personalize the Services
• Communicate with you about updates, security, and support

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Within a Party: Certain information is shared with other members of parties/leagues you join as part of core functionality (for example, your display name/username, avatar, and your score). Depending on party settings and timing, your picks may be visible to other members.
• Service Providers: We use third-party providers for hosting, databases, notifications, analytics, and crash reporting to operate the Services. These providers process data on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, court order, or valid government request.
• Business Transfers: If we merge, sell, or reorganize, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account information and App content (including parties, ballots, and results) for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Party history may be retained so you can view past results.

To request deletion, email us at info@homegrind.app with the subject “Gildy Data Deletion Request.” We will take reasonable steps to delete your personal information within 30 days, unless retention is required by law, to enforce agreements, or to protect the integrity and security of the Services. Some information may remain in aggregated or de-identified form (for example, analytics) where it cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

5. Push Notifications

If enabled, Gildy may send push notifications such as party updates, reminders, and result announcements. You can control notification preferences at any time in your device Settings under Gildy’s notification settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

Gildy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Users aged 13–17 should use the Services only with involvement and supervision of a parent or guardian.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at info@homegrind.app.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
